Stafford is a 20+ goal 50+ point player having a bad season and the asking price wouldn't be too high. It'd be very steep for Pommer.

So was penner but that doesn't mean he is that guy anymore he was a no show for over half of lastseason to me thats a sign of him regressing and isnt what he was it is just frustrating when scoring is a huge issue and we keep looking at 10 goal per year guys feeling a few of them will replace a lack of a true scoring touch

Green and Larsson an stay perhaps fayne but every one else get whatever we can get and take it to the draft

This is the cricket live blog...We know the Devils will make minimal if any moves. it is going to be one boring day again for the New Jersey Devils. I just do not understand this team and the movement forward. Just like last year, their biggest "trade" will be getting kovy back. The excuse last year was parise was coming back from injury so no moves needed to be made. It is another frustrating year. They always seem to have enough to be in it, but never enough to finish the job. They need that final piece to put them over the edge which they never seem to get.

I expect at least a defenseman moved.

Stafford is 27 years old coming off of back-to-back 50+ point seasons....don't think you can write him off as a has-been just yet. This is exactly the kind of deal Lou looks for...add at a discount and put the player in a good spot to succeed while giving little to do it! Hemsky would also be a nice add but the price would likely be higher as well.

Lou's teams still show up to play and are never to be discounted, however the recent late game collapses certainly have to be concerning....maybe a shut-down D-man should be targeted???

6-16 record since feb 15th is not going to get it done. This team has been in a spiral right after their 5 game winning streak guys. It has not just been a recent development.

devils have surplus of d both in minors and nhl...there is absolutely a package they can do here to get an upgrade. Whether super secret oompa loompa grows a pair and pulls the trigger is yet to be determined.
